It is important that the teams help each other out in putting the field back into shape; better than it was. Please do your part especially after the game. This will help us gain a good reputation and show we appreciate the opportunity to play on their field. There is a shed behind the 1st base dugout that houses the chalk, paint, rakes, clay, spreaders and templates as well as a lawnmower. The code for the lock box behind the 3rd base dugout is (get code from team manager or league) and contains 2 keys, one for locks and one for the shed. Before the first game teams should open the gates and shed, remove tarps, and chalk the field if it is not already done. In between games the field should be raked. After the last game the field should be raked, tarped and all items returned to the shed. Then the shed and gates should all be locked and the keys secured back in the lock box. Evergreen Little League at Hockinson Meadows Park features a natural grass infield and outfield, with a clay/dirt pitchers mound. This is one of SWABL's main fields during the regular season, and is traditionally the home of all of the league's playoff and championship games.
